There are five Challengers next week and this is the only one in Europe. Three of the other qualifying draws are out as well (and I doubt the remaining one, Salinas, will change this) and all 8 qualifying seeds in Cherbourg are ranked higher than any of the qualifying seeds anywhere else!

The Salinas seeds indeed didn't exactly change things ( being the lower value of two South American clay challengers ). Qualifying seeds there are from WR 395 to WR 1059.

Would be good to see Dan do well here and build on the Davies Cup
I could see this going one of two ways. We could either see a new much more confident Dan playing at the level that we have long thought him capable of, or we could see a post Davis Cup anti-climax.
In any event he should be on court in a few minutes.
Bad news is that going by a Sean Thornley tweet it looks like him and Rice will not make it into the doubles so presumably neither will Eaton and Inglot. Skupski and Delgado will be playing here.

Could Dom use his protected ranking? That would shift them up around 90 places i think
