On serve so far in the third (although Ward did have a break point in the first game, after being 40-0 down)

*1-2

Kendrick serves it out and takes the decider 6-3

Terrible run of 6 straight lost games in the second and a similar run of 4 straight lost games in the third no

Oh dear, and it started so well. A big missed chance to qualify for an ATP event, I think ... or perhaps he just caught Kendrick coming back into form after all those losses.

Being broken 7 times by Kendrick, especially at an indoor event, certainly looks very, very poor.

More hope in the doubles perhaps?

R1:  Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins vs Eric Butorac & Bruno Soares (USA/BRA)

The seeds in their quarter are Cermak & Polasek (3)...

Pretty disappointing from James and certainly seems to have lost his mojo fior the moment.  Hopefully he can refind it quite soon.
