After the first round win I commented that it was a lot of work for 1 ranking point. I guess this makes it all worthwhile.

It's not been easy for Dan though, and atypical of a Brit has come through when all looked lost. Here's a summary of the week.

R1: Saved a match point before winning in 3 sets.

R2: Saved 2 set points before winning in 3 sets.

QF: Won 4 games in a row from 2-4 second set, to win 4&4

SF: Won in 3 sets after losing the first set.

F: Won in 3 after losing the first and breaking to save the match in the second.

All in all, a very well deserved title and 18 points.

Dan's second title of the year. Lets hope he keeps up the good work.

A really excellent start to the year for Dan - among the Brits, only Muzz and Evo have made a better start to the year in terms of ranking points.
