GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
So Doha qualifying has turned into a contest to determine the British Number 2 (maybe the winner should be given the Fed cup singles spot alongside Bally)
On current form Anne has to be favourite, but these matches are likely to be very much detemined by psychology especially given how much time Anne, Heather and Laura have spent together recently.
The good thing is they could hardly have asked for a much better looking choice as the 4th member of their little section. If Klaudia ends up somehow getting that qualiiying spot then that will really indicate that none of them was in decent enough form to really be challenging for a quailfying place.
I would have been much more concerned if the 4th member had been say a player in decent form who was just a bit outisde the qualifying seeds and had more prospect of spoiling the British party all together.
It is quite a pity that they've been lumped together and be maybe rather tricky after all the recent bonding together, but at least we should end up with one qualifier.
Heather defending 80 points this week, so will need to qualify and maybe ( if Laura beats Anne ) win a main draw R1 match to stay ahead of Laura in theh rankings.

Also a major doubt over Laura's fitness. Laura will have a slight advantage regarding preparation time, so all and all, assuming Laura is near 100 % fit, toss of the coin.
Hev will be the fresh one going into the FQR, which will give her a slight advantage.
Yiou know, I was really pleased when I first saw it. I thought it was funny and I thought it was a great opportunity. However, thinking about the points at stake here, + the money + the travelling, I guess your reaction is the more logical one
Has anyone managed to find an OOP for tomorrow and/or work out time differences. I find an OOP referred to on TF but cannot actually track one down anywhere. WTA, official website etc.

Doha is 3 hours ahead, Hev starts us off 2nd on her court after an 11a.m(8a.m GMT) start, then Anne/Laura is the 4th match on their respective court.
