I see that British Tennis say wrist injury, not good, I raised that issue at the Fed Cup.
Yup. I thought that. And all that superb volleying she did in the doubles matches can't have helped.
Perhaps she shouldn't have gone really, though I don't blame her for wanting to.
Agreed, makes Bally pulling out of Midland and having some rest and training at home look like a very good decision - what were Laura's schedule plans post-Pattaya City?
Anne seals her serve game with an ace for 5-3* - great chance for AK to break serve for the set, Cibulkova's first serve doesn't look too solid (DC double faults as I type)

Unknown for the next 2 weeks as far as I can make out.
Qualifying for the two big premier events in Doha and Dubai I believe. She has been affected by wrist injuries in the past ( needed a cast back in 2010). Laura will be desperate to be fit for the Fed Cup playoff match, but it has come at an inopportune time, given she was just about to enter the top 100 and maybe even qualify for the Olympics.
And she gets either Mirza or Morita in the second round - and one of Hsieh (If she beats Zheng, Hsieh's currently a set and 2-0 up) or Date-Krumm in a quarter final
