A scheduling change by the looks of it, since (unless I've got it wrong!), Naomi's points from this event last year are due to come off a week before this year's Grenoble points get added and she was able to play the first GB 25K as well last year, whereas this year they clash.

I'm not surprised she has gone back here instead of going to Sunderland - last year she qualified then beat 2nd seed Cetkovska and 4th seed Foretz Gacon, among others, on her way to the Final ... the downside of that is that there are 35 points coming off, the upside is that the conditions must suit her - and the winner of her R1 match plays the winner of a Q v Q match in R2.

Broadz won 6-3 in the third, I noticed last year she can struggle against lesser opponents, so I expect her to step it up next round.

Naomi always seems to struggle a bit in the 1st round but if she gets through that she seems to do well so finers crossed
