RE: Week 5 - ITF ($25K) - Sunderland, UK Hard

As far as I can work out, Fran beat Aimee by retirement.
Honcova beat Wacanno in Straght sets
Pavlovic beat Martincova in straight sets.

Best results I can find using a betting site!

Lisa match against Eikeri just starting

Honcova beat Wacanno 6-3 6-4
Pavlovic beat Martincova 6-1 6-1

I think the LTA are only tweeting results involving Brits, which is bad news for our favourite Sarah Gronert fan and for the Amy Bowtell fans pestering me on twitter.

Lisa having a bit of a 2nd set nightmare again (the tonsilllitis could well be to blame here if she has run out of steam a bit, or maybe former top 20 junior Eikeri has simply upped her game) - she has just lost the tiebreak 7-0.

They tweeted the Bowtell result for the Irish fans so you might be in luck (she lost to Borecka) - Sarah was 4th on so is probably still playing.

Also from LTA: Grymalska bt Manisha Foster 63 63

Lisa, honest as ever, on twitter:

"Words cannot describe how truely pissed off about my performance today I am!!!"

Certainly beats blaming it on being ill, though after she said she had tonsillitis a couple of days ago, I was more than ready to believe that was the reason she fell away after handing out yet another 1st set breadstick.

Lisa tweeted to say Larriere has withdrawn, so an easy day for the Slovaks.

Good win  smile    We may be short on numbers here,  but got a quarter finalist.

15 points so far, the most for an event of her career, will give Fran another big rankings jump to probably just inside the top 550.

Following her on court was the no 3 seed Sarah Gronert, who if she wins will be Fran's next opponent, which would no doubt divide support on this thread a little  smile

Sarah Gronert won too so:

QF: STEPHENSON, Francesca (GBR) Q 623 v GRONERT, Sarah (GER) 3 192

Both are at career highs (Fran should go inside the top 550 after today's win)
