I guess not too bad really overall. By seeding, we'd expect one semi finalist and 3 further quarter finalists and we have got one semi finalist ( at least ) and 4 furrher quarter finalists, and the 3 non all Brit clash QF losers were well outranked. Plus one or two other good results for Brits.
Just last week in Sheffield, with less seeding expectations. brought such very good results. And also, one does expect the Brits to perform a bit above rankings / seedings at home.
So, would have hoped and indeed expected maybe a bit better, if not as good as Sheffield. Though David's still going of course, and hopefully he reaches another final, not least for johnnylad
Better than the very slow start to the year in Glasgow anyway !

Oops, I had that written just waiting for the last QF to finish and I've just seen that SC beat me to it by not waiting! LOL
I'm inclined to leave my version there too, simply because it's the first post on a new page (if you have posts set to read forwards), thus making the results easier to refer to in any discussion that follows than if it's the last post on an old page.
Not a huge surprise that the Brits playing non-Brits found it tough - Lewis did well to take a set off Jan 'ding dong' Minar.
