OK, as discussed in another thread, I thought it worth having a little competitioin, predicting the rankings of our currently top ranked teenagers.
The competition will be based on the following, which may sound familiar. I hope you don't mind me stealing your rules, RBBOT
1. Predict the senior world ranking of the current top 5 GB teenagers at the end of the ATP tour on 5th Nov.
2. Predictions have to be made by 9th Jan.
3. The points scored for each prediction will be the difference between the higher of their actual rank and your prediction and the lower of the two, as a percentage of the lower. e.g.
You predict a rank of 150 and the actual rank is 200, you score (200-150)/200 = 25%
You predict a rank of 200 and the actual rank is 150, you still score 25%, not 33%
Using percentages means that the larger fluctuations in the ranks of the lower ranked players won't dominate the smaller movements of the better ranked players, so we can include Andy in the game.
4. The winner will be the entrant the lowest average percentage error.
5. If any player fails to play in 18 tournaments in the year to 5th November (e.g. due to injury or retirement or say in Liam's case unexpectedly playing a lot of junior tournaments ), including qualifying, the ranking points they score in the tournaments they do play will be increased pro-rata and they will be assigned a ranking equal to the highest ranked player in the ATP rankings with that number of points or fewer. If a player finishes unranked, they will be assigned the same ranking as the lowest ranked player.
The 5 boys, who will be the basis of this competition are, listed in order of current rankings, which are all in the range WR 643 to WR 726 :
Oliver Golding : Lewis Burton : Liam Broady : James Marsalek : George Morgan :
Go, predict...

Anyone else fancy a punt at how at how the boys are going to do in the coming year. Closing date tomorrow, 9th January. So get any more entries ( or changes to existing entries ) in today or tomorrow.
Basically it's predicting senior rankings as at 5th November. If any don't compete ( including qualifying ) in 18 tournaments in the year to then, their rankings will be adjusted up as per the first post.
