Sad news from Jamie:

Awful luck for Jamie - All that off season work for it to go awry on day 1.

Darn  cry

I really do hope that a solution can be found to Jamie's injury problem in the near future, although he clearly has no idea just now or seem to have any particular optmism.

Such a pity at this time when, with his relatively lower ranking points from the first half of 2011, he seemed to have a real chance to push on past his career high and indeed into the top 200.

Skupski/Malisse get the top seeds Bhupathi/Bopanna :(

And came close to upsetting them, but sadly, not quite close enough:

R1:  (1) Mahesh Bhupathi & Rohan Bopanna (IND/IND) defeated Xavier Malisse (BEL) & Ken Skupski by 5-7 6-3 [10-5] cry

that's a tough start to 2012 for Jamie. Do we know what the injury actually is? is it a continuation of the one he was suffering from last year? (remember he pulled out of his last tournie straight after he beat Alex)
