Quite a battle as Walter serves for the match - 0-30, 40-30 MP, deuce, MP, deuce again, MP 3, saved again, MP 4, also saved, MP 5, and Walter eventually wins 4 & 4

QF: (1) Ludovic Walter (FRA) WR 334 defeated (Q) Oli Golding WR 709 by 4 & 4
Oli put up quite a battle in the tenth game: I'm supposed to be working, so I lost count of the number of MPs Walter had before he finally converted the one that counted!

I think he converted on his 5th, as you can see above, but I was doing other things at the same time too, so all I can say for certain is that Oli saved at least 4 MPs.

Oli: "Played poor today but still had so many chances ! Longest 4 and 4 ever ..."
Oli may have played poorly in his singles QF, but he & his Belgian mucker must have played out of their respective skins in the doubles semi, as they certainly made up for it:
SF: (1) Andrei Ciumac & Gleb Sakharov (MDA/FRA) WR 806 lost to Joris de Loore (BEL) & Oli Golding WR 1853 by 6-4 16 [8-10]!
*****
F: Joris de Loore (BEL) & Oli Golding WR 1853 vs (2) Damir Dzumhur & Aldin Setkic (BIH/BIH) WR 954
And they complete the job ! Winners 6-3 7-6(5), not a bad week for oli
Wow! Oli & Joris s I'd like to think I'd've been the first to report the victory, but my electricity supply went off at 11.50 this morning & has only just been restored ( )! Unbelievably . Whatever, well done, lads!
