Thank's been lurking for a long time, just thaough i should make my presence known after such a epic match. Us Scots are known for our grit, with all the iran bru we drink and Jamie must be drinking it at the bucket loads, balls of steal
L16: (Alt) Jamie Baker WR 284 beat (7) Michael Yani (USA) WR 174 (CH 143 in 2010) 6-4 6-7(4) 7-6(4)
QF: (Alt) Jamie Baker WR 284 v (1) Michael Russell (USA) WR 98 (CH 60 in 2007)
Russell brought to an end two of the best Challenger runs of Jamie's career, beating him 1 & 5 in the Waikoloa Ch Final and 6-1 7-6(4) in the Joplin Challenger SF the same year. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and 4 years later would be cold enough!

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Talked to Jamie about an hour ago and he was stoked. He said he saved 8 mp, but I had to leave at the start of the 3rd, so I'm really not sure. Jamie said when Michael was serving at 5-3 in the 3rd he played a horrible game. Yani gave him 4 points and pretty bad errors, according to Jamie. Jamie said on match point(6-4 in tb) in the breaker, Jamie had Yani pulled way off the court, came in and shanked a volley off the frame, but luckily Michael was pulled way off the court and couldn't get to it. Big win for JB. He had 8 points coming off his ranking this week, so getting at least 15 points will help. Worst case senario he should be around 270. Jamie has said his goal is 200-225 by Aussie Open. JB will have one more tourney(Champaign) next week. He will then play in a $ exhibition in Florida before heading home. I'll try and post sometime tomorrow after he calls me. Take care everyone.
