Tbar, thanks for clarifying this for us. Does Jamie stay with you when he competes in the Dallas area?

he was in town at the start of july and stayed over here a couple of nights(celebrated my 40th bday on the 6th with me at a big party) and then again a few weeks ago.  during our challenger a few years ago i set him up with one of our members for housing.  they have a very very nice house and he has his own living quarters, so its very hard to pass that up.

chris eaton was also traveling with jamie and really enjoyed his company as well.  that was the first time i had met chris and couldn't have been more impressed with him.  enjoyed talking to him mom, who was traveling with him at the time, but now has gone back home.  i have enjoyed all my friendships i have made with guys(baker, j.murray, hutchins, goodall, eaton) from across the pond.  as a fanbase, you should be very proud of what you are putting on the court.

speaking of defaults, remember a few years back when Dodig defaulted (the smashed his trophy) in a challenger final vs Boggo, supposedly for swearing at the line judge.

I was remembering that as I watched a little of his match against Djoker earlier. No fireworks today though - just a bit of lunacy when his shoes fell apart and the replacement ones he had were apparently 2 sizes too small. He managed to get broken while wearing them, played better when given the correct size, but it was too late, the one break in the second set was enough.

Not sure whether he broke again in the 8th or the 10th game (the 10th, I think), but Jamie took the 1st set 6-4

I'm kinda thinking Jamie must have broken in the 10th game, given he won the 10th game to win the set  wink   Of course, the shared 8th and 9th games could have both been breaks as well.  ( edit : the stats say two breaks to one for Jamie in the first set, so his breaks were just the 2nd and 10th games )

Jamie  5 - 4 *  in the second,  Yani serving to stay in the match.
