QF:  Colin Fleming & Ross Hutchins vs Xavier Malisse & Dick Norman (BEL/BEL)

The Belgians won't be a pushover, but the boys should have the beating of them.

Malisse & Norman won the first set by 6-3, but Colin & Ross are currently leading by 3-1* in the second.

Another break but then the Belgians got one back - they're now up 4-2* in the 2nd

They're intent on swapping service breaks at the moment!  The boys were leading *4-1 at one point, but the Belgians broke Ross's to recover one of the breaks, but have just conceded one of their own to give Colin & Ross to serve for the second set:  *5-2.  Looks as though we're heading for squeaky bum time!

Colin & Ross duly take the second set by 6-2 (after surviving a break point or two!).  Squeaky bum time it is!

Yes, after such a good day yesterday, I hoped we'd get at least a handful through today, but so far today GB is 1-8 in QFs (0-1 in MS, 1-6 in WS & 0-1 in MD, though I may have missed a doubles QF or two) with Tara the lone winner.

It's actually 0-2 in MS, Steven, as both Toby Martin and Matt Short lost "ovenight"! bleh  I really thought Matt has a chance, too... hmm  On the basis of the number of service breaks in Colin's & Ross's match, it seemed as though they weren't serving consistently enough. cry

Matt Short was playing on Thursday (local time) though, and in R2 not a QF - not that it's worth quibbling about, admittedly!
