L16: Samantha Murray WR 464 lost to (1) Erika Sema (JPN) WR 127 by 1 & 5
L16: (6) Emily Webley-Smith WR 246 beat (Q) Emelyn Starr (AUS) WR 870 by (they give no score and call her Weberly-Smith, but there you go!)

This year, the initial qualifying cut was WR 208 but the last two who actually got in were Glushko WR 235 and Mladenovic WR 300. In 2010, the initial qualifying cut was also 208, with WR 242 and WR 244 the last to eventually get in.

I think you have to remember Steve that you really have to be inside the top 215 to make the gamble of the trip worthwhile. If of course Em wants to play in the Aussie events after the Aussie Open she may be there anyway to see if she can get in with a few late withdrawals.Its a long way to go just on the offchance that you might get in.

Yes, I agree, but since she seems to like these Aussie 25Ks, I thought she might be staying down there or going back for early 2012 25Ks.
