Robyn Beddow joins the three Brits who went out in R1 here a week ago for another attempt to pick up some relatively easy points that are proving to be rather hard to come by!

L32: Abbi Melrose WR 1115 v (WC) Alina Jane (BRA) UNR
L32: Robyn Beddow WR 1052 v (5) Eduarda Piai (BRA) WR 586
L32: (WC) Laura Deigman UNR v (4) Simona Dobra (CZE) WR 549
L32: (7) Nicola George WR 682 v Tereza Hladikova (CZE) WR 836 (CH 197 in 2009)

Abbi Melrose took Hladikova to 3 sets a week ago but Hladikova eventually reached the semis, so the level she is playing at in the CH to current ranking 197-836 range is quite hard to fathom!

Abbi won 6-1 6-3, but Laura lost 6-2 6-2 and Nicola suffered a heavy defeat going down 6-0 6-1.
