RE: Week 43 - ITF ($75K) - Barnstaple, UK Hard

Just called up, paid my £4 over the phone, car checks done, route planner printed.

Let's go!

That's a fantastic win for Naomi, ending Rodionova's 10-match Brit-bashing streak which started more than 12 years ago with 3 wins against Lucie Ahl, the first Brit she faced in seniors.

She plays Bychkova next, so given Rodionova's reputation, I guess that's one Bych down, one more to go. (I'll get my coat)

 Anyone got any links?

Steven, would you like to PM me your mob number, then tomorrow I can send you some updates that you can re-tweet? Wap is too slow on my phone so won't be able to do it any other way.

(LL)Maria Joao Koehler (POR) d. (5)Alexandra Cadantu (ROU) 61 30 Ret.

Odds suddenly looking a lot better for Tara in R2! Koehler only just scraped past Lucy Brown in QR1.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to be very busy while the matches are on tomorrow so might not be able to post all the updates as they come in. I'll pm you my mobile number anyway and if you do send any updates, I'll get them online as quickly as circumstances allow, but there will almost certainly be someone else who could do a better job of it tomorrow.

Been a really very good day so far, well done the GB girls  smile

Naomi has been involved in quite a few pretty tight matches in the last couple of months and had won more than her fair share of these and certainly more than her fair share of tiebreaks ( had won her last 5 TBs going into today's match where she lost one, but won the decisive one )

Well done Tara too.  Looking already as if she might push her CH of WR 333 up a few places with hopefully more to come, which would be a good effort since she's had quite a lot of points to defend since she set that CH in July.
