That's a very good win for Morgan, given that MALJ is ranked slightly higher than him, hit a career high of 171 in 2009 and had won the last two times they have met.
In R2, he will face (2) Joao Sousa (POR) WR 220, the player who beat him 1 & 4 last week.

Another very convincing win, reversing his defeat to G T-S a couple of years ago. He has played G G-P before too, beating him 3 & 3 in 2008. This is his first semi since he won the title in Madrid 6 months ago.

Worth noting that unseeded Marc Fornell Mestres won the other semi, beating seed nos. 1, 6 and 7 plus Liam Broady on the way and Liam is the only player who has even managed to take him to a tiebreak this week!
