Great stuff from the Bogster - very solid on the big points (as ever *cough* wink) - 3/4 bps taken and 7/8 BPs saved.

I hope he avoids the Gooch, not just because he has a 0-1 H2H against him (that straight sets defeat at Wimbledon) but also because the winner gets top seed Sweeting (or Johnson) in R2.

you had to say it didnt you steven, we were all thinking it but you tempted the tennis gods and fate was sealed.

Alex said he didn't serve well today, found the balls heavy and it was slow. i'm not sure of that the type of thing that can change overnight, i guess on a differnt couirt and maybe if it's hotter it could be quikcer.

Qualifiers haven't been placed yet (unless you know otherwise) and RJA thinks even a match against the Gooch would be winnable (see above), so there's no need to complain ... at least not yet.

Edit: ah the draw may not have been updated yet, but I've just seen the OoP

Revenge would be very sweet of course - believe in the Bogster!

It's not the gooch, although will be tough if Boggo is still struggling on serve, its the fact he could be up against s top early again :(
