- when you think Wozniak took out Laura & Anne in successive rounds in Vancouver just 2 months ago.

Crazy that she only gets 10 points for these two wins - it's more than plausible that the two players she has beaten this weekend could have been opponents in semis and Final of a 25K, in which case she'd have got 5x as many points and have made it into the top 200 with room to spare.

AMAZING.
Naomi is showing she is (on hard surfaces) playing above her ranking. Hopefully she can finish this year inside 200 and then make an assault on top 100 next year.

Indoors suits Naomi with no wind etc. to bother about - surprised she hasn't served more aces. Rus/Wozniak are above the average ranking in 50K semis/finals never mind 25Ks wink

Another really good win for Naomi.

Interesting too that she dosn't seem to have served that great. I always think when she does she has a greta chance of taking out top players. Here, it certianly looks as if her general game apart from serve has been functioning very well.

0-3* down in the 2nd though, so I hope we're not in for another Anne K (2011) special. She came back in the 1st though, she can do it again.
