Andy made a terrible start and dropped his first service game, then started playing better but couldn't quite break Rafa so ended up losing the first set 3-6.

Andy goes down 0-40 but saves all three break points with aces and smiles. He goes down ad out but saves that with a forehand winner up the line and converts his second game point with a blistering backhand crosscourt.

Three successive winners (including a backhand return winner off a first serve on the third) sets up two break points, he nets a backhand on the first but converts after an agressive backhand approach forces Nadal to go just wide on the attempted pass.

*2-0, third set.
