RE: Week 40 - Challenger (€106,500) - Mons, Belgium - Hard

Josh ended up losing 2 & 3

Still, good to see him having a go at Challengers again and he did well to get this far.

Josh: "I don't even kno what to say to that one... I think I'd of lost to my mum. Cudnt see a thing, cudnt time a thing, cudnt move. Rennes pls."

I didn't see that much of it, but he's being a bit hard on himself, isn't he?

QF:  Ken Skupski & Johan Brunström (SWE) defeated Martin Emmrich & Andreas Siljeström (GER/SWE) by 3 & 3 smile

They will play the Belgian WCs, Bemelmans & Mertens, or J&J's conquerors, Bachinger & Moser, in the semi.

Ken won his semi final with a 6-3 6-4 victory. His first final for a good few weeks I think(?)

What with AM, Josh Milton and now this, its proving to be a good Friday so far! Fingers crossed for Smethurst, Thornley and Rice/Thornley in doubles.

What?  All by himself?   What a man!  Seriously, I'm really pleased for the lad.

Berankis & Falla or de Schepper & ERV in the final.  Both pairs accounted for seeds in the first round (the top seeds, Cerretani & Marx, & the third seeds, Brown & Zelenay, respectively) & had walkovers into the QF! disbelief  Ken & Johan, however, should be pretty comfortable with one another by now!

Ken should be looking to make a killing in these indoor challengers to end the year to move his ranking back up to where it should be. 6 of the next 7 weeks there is at least one European indoor challenger on, hope he plays in all of those.
