I wonder whether Matt Short can do as well in the doubles on clay this week with James Feaver as he did with Michael Suleau on hard in Madrid last week...  Some more serious giant-killing will be required in the first round, if they are to do so:

James Feaver & Matt Short WR 2122 vs (2) Steven Diez & Fernando Vicente (CAN/ESP) WR 1374 bleh

No go. no  Perhaps (arguably) unsurprisingly, they lost to the second seeds by 4 & 2. cry

Liam says Matt beat Dimitriev in straight sets again and will play Samper-Montana, who beat Feaver.

Good stuff  smile

Liam is back to within one ranking point in the battle for top LB in GB. Can Lewis Burton push open the gap by beating Alex Ward in their Swedish future QF later today ?

Edit :  ah, before Lucy Brown pipes up, I mean top male LB in GB  smile

Liam now levels again the ranking points for top LB in GB ( at 29 ).  Can Lewis Burton respond against Alex Ward later today ?

I think Lewis has already got 30 points - 26 now + 2 for his QF last week and 2 for his QF this week.
