Ana beat Anastasia 4 & 0, so Laura will play the former world no. 1 in R2.

Cool, I hope it's on 'late' so I can watch it without having to get up at silly o clock.

Hopman Cup teams not all anounced yet, so still a possibillity, but I would be surprised if they got invited back 3 years on the trot.

So Hopman cup doesn't encourage that?

I think Andy is a big enough draw that they'll be 'invited' if he's interested. Laura's local connections don't hurt either (the local Aussie rules football side has their main stand named after her Great-Grandfather). Mind you, even if Andy is invited back, it doesn't necessarily mean he'll partner Laura.

My impression is that the HC organisers like to freshen it up each year with different teams, however if Andy is desperate to play they will probably play again and I doubt it would be anybody else other than Laura as she's also very popular there.

Oh, of course, she's kindof an Aussie and has family out there hasn't she.

Laura third up on centre after a 3a.m start so anytime from 6a.m onwards. Won't be live on Eurosport but they do have a 90 minute segment for the 3 morning matches from 7.30a.m so we may get some highlights there. Also potential live stream on the internet you would have thought.

Laura v Ana is 3rd on Centre Court (so will be streamed), after Azarenka and Radwanska.

Play starts 3am BST so it looks like an early morning start to watch Laura.

Now I need to work out when to get up, so as to get as much sleep as possible without missing any of Laura's match.

Edit: I obviously spent far too long on this post as Philwrig beat me to it by a clear 4 minutes!

Yuck, I hope the first two matches go on for a long time.

It's also on the bet365 live stream. Let's hope it's a match worth getting up early for.

Robson *1-2

Laura had several break points in the first game, and hit at least 4 return winners, but Ivanovic also hit a few aces and played the break points well

With all the problems Ana has had with her serve, it's easy to forget that when it's working like today it's actually quite a big weapon.

Laura plays really well to recover from 15-40 in game 8, but she misses an easy forehand at 30-30 in game 9 so still on serve
