gsm 64 64.

a shame, overall seems like a decent performance from alex, sam isn't the type of player you expect to be encountering at challengers. hopefully TMS saw the match, can maybe shed some light on those 6bp's.

Lost 6-4, 6-4

Second set, 83% of first serves in, 80% of points won on first serve, only 6 points conceded on serve. Somehow lost it.

had a quick chat with alex, he was happy with how he played overall, as TMS suggested the match was moved indoors, which probably favoured querrey in this instance as the court was quick and he was serving big, although alex did say was odd condiitons and the balls were weird.

back to back 100k's in California coming up, so almost certainly he will have to come through the qualies for them.

Alex appears to be in good form, I get the feeling that playing less frequently probably suits him.

yeah i agree, i think in the past he tended to over do it, dashing madly round the world. he's probably been a bit unlcky this summer, it seems he is playing well, but just isn't getting many breaks with the draws, coming up against the top 2 seeds at the QF stage or b4 pretty much everytime. Since his loss to Phillips back in April he's only lost to one player outside the top 200 and that was Bozo so he's consitent,
