A slightly stronger qualifying draw this week with 5 ranked players and nearly full draw (46 out of 48)

Surpisingly Evo has turned up here in qualifying. Other seeds are Tutu, Glasspool, McGrath and Oakley.

So Evo could have got into main draw of $100K challenger but chooses to play qualifying in $10K. Suppose he will get some wins but?

 I guess that sometimes a player just needs some wins under their belt.

It will have the unfortunate effect of stoping Broady being seeding in the main draw (assuming he gets back from New York in any case).

ITF haven't yet posted the results in an easy to cut and paste format (I am not typing them all out, so see the link) but there were no shocks today. The 5 ranked players all won very comfortably.

Off to Nottingham to watch today's play. Some interesting all Brit clashes possibly coming up later in the week. Evo v Fitzy as a possible R2 match and Rice v Thornley as a potential QF

Today Luke Bambridge plays his first main draw match at senior level (v Fitzy) and in normal circumstances you would expect Broady to beat Jones but given that Broady flew back from New York last night, landing about an hour ago in Manchester he might not be at his sharpest.
