They had a break point early in the set but Matkowski saved it with a fine backhand crosscourt winner.

Yes I saw that. I thought it was a bit lucky as I don't think he was aiming it to be anywhere near as good as what it was.

Bloody Poles win 6-7(5) 6-2 6-3

Credible effort for J+J for pushing one of the best teams in the world like that.

From watching a lot of their matches this season I really believe these two should be able to compete regularly on the ATP Tour. They have the assests needed. One thing I would pick up is the double faults. 13 tonight and it has been a constant theme throughout the season. Hopefully they can make some more main tour cuts before the season is out.

Other than the top 2 seeds going out the draw is still very strong so Fleming/Hutchins are going to have their work cut out.

Yep, Double faults really stood out as a weakness. Not only did they make 13 but a lot of them came at bad times and a fair few of them the second serve was out by a very long way.

With Tuesday being completely rained out it will have been 5 days in between matches - will wait to see whether that is a good or bad thing.

Just to say watched most of the Delg/Marr match on tv. Was a really high standard match, first set especially, some of Marrays reactions at the net! And both returning so well against a pair that serve huge!
