Not overly surprised by that Evo defeat, as I said yesterday he was possibly carrying an injury and even if he wasn't he certainly wasn't at the races for much of the match. Also possible that he doesn't want to go deep this week if he is heading for St Remy qualies.

Evo wasn't originally entered here and is in on a WC so one would have imagined that he would want to give a decent account of himself this week and certainly go deeper than bowing out at the R2 stage
From what you say, there does seem to be an injury issue, but it is a still rather concerning that his level should fluctuate so much.
For whatever reasons, after a very encouraging March / April and seemingly generally on the up again, Evo has most certainly not had a good last few months.
Hopefully he can get any injury issues cleared for next week, form issues may be rather harder.
