For the benefit of Seagull I ill say a bit about the Evans v Oakley match.
Very, very bizarre match. Firstly I don't want to pour cold water on Keelan but Evo did seem to be struggling a but with an injury. He pulled up in the very first game and was frequently rubbing his calf / back of his knee after that. First set was very comfortable for Evo. Keelan was going for too much and missing nearly everything, from basic ground strokes to approach shots to volleys he was simply making too many errors and Evo barely had to get into second gear to win the set. Second set started the same with Evo breaking in the first game. He then played a sloppy game and was broke straight back and from there Keelan played much better. For the rest of the set he barely missed a thing. A rain break at 3-3 seemed to work in his favour. He was 0-30 when they went off but when play resumed he caught Evo cold and won 6 games in a row through a combination of good play from himself and some dire play from Evo. At *3-0 in the third it was hard to see Keelan not winning but Evo finally found he game, stopped making errors and hit some great winners on big points. He broke straight back, missed two points to level it in game 6 but eventually levelled it in game 8. He missed one MP at 4-5 but took his first chance at 5-6. I certainly wouldn't say that Keelan choked, his level dropped a bit from *3-0 but it was more a case of Evo picking his game up.
On a side note Keelan seems like a very nice lad. No histrionics, no moaning, no blaming anyone or anything for things going wrong. Very unusual in British Tennis player. Hopefully he will get a WC again next week and getting a better draw.
