Cluj Napoca is in Transylvania (watch out for the Count - no, not THAT Count! ) and is the 4th largest city in Romania:
L32: (5) Morgan Phillips WR 497 v (Q) Marcel-Ioan Miron (ROU) UNR (CH 697 in 2006)
Miron had only played two singles matches on the Futures circuit this year before qualifying here and lost them both in straight sets, in fact he last won a Futures main draw match just over a year ago, which is why he is unranked at the moment. His last matches against Brits were a win against Alex Ward and a loss to Dan Smethurst in successive weeks in August 2009.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
As a complete irrelevance to tennis! - We've just had tea with a family whose children go to school in Cluj and have been in the UK for a 2 week holiday, staying with friends of ours who took truck fulls of clothes and stuff over there many years ago, then stayed in touch. In the northwest corner of Romania, bordering Hungary, and at times that area belonged to Hungary - these people are ethnically Hungarian and speak Hungarian out of choice. Cluj itself is thoroughly Romanian, though, and is big enough to have an airport. We've been there twice, the first time for a fabulous view of the eclipse in 1999.
Back to tennis - our experience indicated that all visitors including the tennis players can only find pork chicken or pizza to eat and luncheon meat instead of ham!
Morgan is through according to the ITF drawsheet, but for some reason there's no score next to the result. Luca Rovetti (ITA) WR 1184 or Robert Coman (ROU) WR 712 in the second round, as long as the drawsheet is right.
I didn't think Morgan was due to play until tomorrow, and the draws on the tournament's website at http://winners-tennis.ro/stiri don't show any main draw matches as having been played on Monday, so I think this is probably a mistake on the ITF site.
