RE: Week 33 - Summer Universiade - Shenzhen, China

DQF: (8) Edward Corrie & Daniel Cochrane WR 2031 lost to (3) Siarhei Betau & Alexander Bury (BLR) WR 669 by 3-6 6-1 6-4

So, no medals for GB this time after winning two in 2009.

Meanwhile (scraping the barrel a bit here, admittedly!), Kyle entered the consolation competition and has beaten Beniwal (IND) UNR 6-0 7-6(4) and Miklusicak (SVK) WR 1376 (CH 1236 in 2007) 7-6(3) 6-1 to reach the semi-finals, where he will play Katayama (JPN) WR 861 (CH 811 in March) tomorrow - they are the two highest-ranked players left in the draw.

Kyle lost 1 & 1 in the consolation semi-finals to Katayama, who dropped only 11 games in 8 sets on his way to winning that competition.
