Three seeds lost in round 1, including Jonathan Cornish, who incurred a straight sets defeat by Luke Johnson. Toby Martin unsurprisingly beat 7th seed Matthew Frost whilst qualifier David Fox beat 8th seed Ravi Patel

It looked a reasonable call, but not to be. Evan lost in 3 to Benjamin Lott. The showdown between Toby Martin and Sam Hutt should decide the finalist from the bottom half now.

Toby won the key clash in straight sets resulting in the following semis

(1) Luke Bambridge v Luke Johnson
(Q) Scott Clayton v Toby Martin

Toby has a struggle but the expected winners emerge:

(1) Luke Bambridge d. Luke Johnson 6-4 6-2
Toby Martin d. (Q) Scott Clayton 6-1 5-7 6-3

(1) Luke Bambridge v Toby Martin

Some years they have a best of 5 sets final (which might favour Toby, as Luke has been having problems with illness during the summer), but I don't see any mention of that for this year. Jack Findel-Hawkins and Alexander Gasson were the surprise winners of the doubles title

It was only 3 sets, but Toby won anyway.
