Corrie's win surpasses his previous career best win against Coco.

I think they won 6-3 6-1, but it disappeared pretty quickly after 4-1* in the second.

Ghedin! wink That is a stunning win for Corrie, I didn't think he had a hope in hell today! He had 3 ranking points on Monday and has now picked up 5 times that many in the last 4 days! I wonder if the extent of the tournaround (the bagel in the 3rd set I mean) suggests Ghedin was having problems today, but even so, quite an achievement.

SF: (5) Jamie Baker WR 311 beat Josh Goodall WR 442 by 5-7 6-3 6-4
SF: (WC) Edward Corrie WR 1249 beat (3) Riccardo Ghedin (ITA) WR 304 by 4-6 6-3 6-0 biggrin

FI: (5) Jamie Baker WR 311 v (WC) Edward Corrie WR 1249

These two have actually played each other before, in a Satellite way back in 2004, Jamie winning 3 & 1.

Having looked at Corrie's results, maybe this shouldn't have been such a shock. In Frinton he lost to Evo in 3 three sets after beating Coco in R2. Evo went on to reach the final. In Chiswick he lost to Rousett who then took Eaton to 3 sets in the SF.

This will mean we'll have a top 25 table with the entry level (for a few weeks anyway) at 13 points, probably the highest since Nov 2009.

 3 & 2 according to a Thornley tweet.

We are surely close to the point where Sean and David have to make some tough career choices. They have now won something like 6 futures events in the past year, reached another 6 finals and have had multiple SF appearances. They are clearly a good partnership but to take the next step they need to move up to playing challengers on a regular basis. The obvious problem is that this could easily put an end to what ever aspirations they have for their respective singles careers.

And judging by Dr No's ranking i doubt he'd be willing to make that step yet

Where has Corrie come from? He's 23 so not a youngster, another one of the american college system?

Was his results good?

Yes, US college system. According to a link from ZooTennis, Corrie and Skupski (N) were the two British men with good enough results to be "All American" this year, both of them in Doubles (which means, apparently, that they were top 8 seed in NCAA championships and/or reached quarterfinals of NCAA championships and/or were top 10 final ITA ranking).

Baker takes the first set 6-1 with Corrie's only game coming against the serve.
