I'm getting that sinking feeling regarding Golding and Morgan.
I have found this year to be particularly disappointing from Oli.
It is all very well to say he is still young, and yes he won't be 18 until September, but in comparison to how he was placed last year relative to other juniors, many older than him, he has clearly slipped quite a bit back comparatively this year.
I find it particularly disappointing how little he had achieved at futures level. He still seems to be able to rise to the occasion, eg. Wimbledon qualifying, but doesn't seem to win "lesser" matches that I would hope he would, and hence doesn't get further matches and more senior competition.
Still, of course has plenty time to start moving up again, but to me it is has been a fairly disappointing year so far.
Credit to Neal Skupki on his win, and I hope he played well, and that it was a decent match. This is much more general observations re Oli.
Re George Morgan, I didn't have such high hopes for him, but he has undoubtably struggled this year to make an impact. Has he had injury problems ? I have read him complaining about movement issues, and wondered if these were injury related or just more comments that he just generally wasn't moving as well as he would like.

From Jamie Baker after his win today over Fitzy: Good solid start at cumberland club this morning. Straights sets victory against a player playing very well. Great to play again tomorrow 45 minutes ago

Good from Baker, Goodall and Corrie (and not bad from Fitzpatrick and Broady; those are quite close scores in both cases, given the differences in rankings.) Re: Golding and Skupski: Skupski is underranked by virtue of being at university and only playing in the summers, so I don't think it's a particularly poor loss.
