LTA Twitter says he was "struggling with fitness". Hope it's nowt serious.
Probs just the accumulation of all the matches he's been playing recently, played county tennis last week too. Took it's toll on the body
He had treatment on his bacl twice during the second set. I don't think it is serious or had a major impact on the match.
I watched most of the second set and all of set three and Mitchell was the better player. Josh could have served it out in straight sets but I don't think that would have been a fair reflection on the match. He only had the chance because of a bit of immaturity of Mitchell's part. At 4-4 he got a bad call early in game (first point or 15 love), completely blew his top, spent ages arguing with the umpire and then lost the next three points. Unfortunately he got his head straight very quickly, broke straigh back, creamed Josh in the tie break and easily won the third set.
Milton will have to play well tomorrow if he is to win.

As for Eaton v Evo. The match swung one way and the next. There really was nothing between them and whoever lost would have felt a bit hard done by.
Eaton played very well, especially at net and the courts seemed a fair bit quicker today (probably not surprising as it was pretty hot) which was certainly in his favour. Playing like he did today I simply cannot understand how he had such a bad grass court season. He should beat Rousset quite comfortably if he can maintain this level.
Evo's serve let him down big time and going by his many comments he has served badly all week. The rest of his game was mostly okay but if you consistently serve badly you are always going to be under pressure. On the positive side there was far more grit and fight than we used to associate with Evo, I like the attitude I have seen from him lately. I have watched him 3 and half matches of his in the past two weeks I get the feeling that I am watching someone who is very close to playing well. If he can start serving well and keep up his current intensity on court then some better results could be just around the corner.
Been a really encouraging year for Chris so far! Shown so much consistency at futures level in singles and getting some big wins too. Was a shame he couldnt make more than 10 points over grass court season but he did start it off with an injury (we think) so cant complain at all.
Be great to see him go on to win another torny in singles!
Liam Broady & Dan Evans won the doubles Final in the match t/b - that result and this pic http://yfrog.com/kk80295602j from Mark Taylor, who is the head coach at Nottingham Performance Academy where they both train these days.

First set gone after giving the double break, hopefully he's a bit more fresh in the second set and has just taken a while to loosen up from yesterdays match

Pleased for Liam & Dan, but feel rather sorry for Lewis & Ed!
Have you read OEM's honest (I thought) assessment of life after Wimbledon, i.e. at Futures level, for young Liam, Steven (can't post a link, as I buy the print edition, but don't have access to web stuff behind the pay wall)? It's headed "Broady sees the funny side of inglorious return", i.e. in defeat to Goody yesterday, a match in which he feels he let down Mark Hilton, his coach, because it was as though he "didn't have a clue what [he] was doing". Not often you see references to Futures competitions (OEM also attempts in the article to put the "milieu", if I can call it such, in context) reported in the "quality" press in this country.
