It is however a shame for Josh. On Monday he will reach the dizzy heights of British number 3 but will only hold that position for a single week with Evo and possibly Cox going ahead of him the following week. He then has his 27 points for winning Cumberland to defend.
That's a very convincing win - Chris is now the equal top Brit for both singles titles (2, equal with Goodall) and doubles titles (5, equal with Rice) this year and with this win becomes only the third Brit (after Muzz and Wardy) to have picked up more than 100 ATP singles points this year. Taking into account 5 points to come off from Segovia last year, he should rise to about WR 370 on Monday week.
A bit worrying that the player in 3rd place in the GB 'race' this year is only WR 370, but 90% of the 112 points Chris will have on Monday week will have been gained this year and he only has 11 points to defend in the rest of 2011, so he has a very good chance of taking out his career high (317) if he can continue in anything like this kind of form.

After recent improvements the LTA seem to be slipping back into their bad old ways. They still haven't posted a report on the final, or even the semi finals, from this event.

Perhaps their member of staff who does weekends is away on holiday (remember that it's only relatively recently they started posting anything much at weekends at all)
