RE: Week 29 - ITF ($25K) - Wrexham, UK Hard

latest wrexham: surprisingly dunne beats aimee ( seemed out of gas after yesterdays heroics)
eden overmatched against big serving bowtell, mcminn competitive against malou but losing, barnett looking good against hubacek up a set and 3-4 in second, natasha won in straights, francesca qualified serving underarm again.

Damn. I don't suppose Tara has ever been a seed in a 25k and she goes and draws an unseeded player who is fresh from victory in a stronger draw. A good run from TM here could have seen another GBR lady in the top 300 but I doubt she'll make it into R2 now :(

The JoKo v Tara clash is a pity, but at least the other top Brits have been separated with each quarter of the draw having one of the top 4 'current' Brits in it

Shame that Tara and Johanna face off round 1. I hope Tara wins, she could do with the points more

Was it Alicia Barnett who sometimes posts here as 'Lurk' or is that someone else? Either way looks like a good win for her.

"Lurk" is actually Alicia Robinson.   I've not seen anything about her for a while.

naomi has a much better draw this week, so expecting semis at least.
random news
spoke to joko and she said she was aware that british tennis fans had been supporting her for the last couple of years as one of their own which was nice to hear.
courts faster, heavier balls and cooler conditions this week, how will it play out ?
i didn't know that losers in qr1 got $40 in prize money
