Yes, that's really good from JB. All I saw in the initial page that I looked at was :

Jamie suddenly seems to be getting the hang of this R2 lark in Challengers, that's 3 wins out of the last 4. Does wonders for your ranking points and no doubt helps the bank balance.
Time for a QF win ?

Jamie's win today will also see him edge Evo out of the GB top 5 on Monday by a single point - he needs another win to overhaul Josh Milton too and get back into the top 300.

I think, if we're honest, none of us did, Steven, though I doubt you'll hear a word of complaint.
Another interesting result, but in Dino's half of the draw: another Canadian (& Dino's erstwhile doubles partner!), Pierre-Ludovic Duclos, an alternate (WR 357), has done for Fritz Wolmarans (4th seed & WR 218) by 2 & 4!

It's turning into quite a week for Brits and players with French names in Lexington and Belgium this week

And Duclos is building up a bit of a head of steam: perhaps not unsurprisingly, he beat the qualifier, Blake Strode (WR 492), by 7-6(2) 6-4 in his QF, so will be Dino's opponent in the SF, should he get past Chvojka...

Count, I think you forgot to power down Steven again!
LOL you can't talk! (unless you're in the US, I guess!) ... it's been a long week so I went to sleep early evening, woke up a few hours ago, decided after 10 minutes or so that I wasn't really awake so went back to sleep and I'm now fully recharged - or almost!

It sounds like it wasn't anything too serious with Jamie: "Craziest of crazy days folks- and its still not over! Sorry for the silence. I'll be trying to keep momentum going in chiswick come tuesday" - edit: "heat illness" is the reason given on the drawsheet, so apparently even the master Baker finds it too hot in the oven sometimes. Still, better than anything longer-lasting!
QF: (1) James Ward WR 198 beat Erik Chvojka (CAN) WR 337 by 3-6 7-5 6-1 QF: Jamie Baker WR 332 lost to Greg Ouellette (USA) WR 311 by 7-5 2-0 ret.
SF: (1) James Ward WR 198 v (Alt) Pierre-Ludovic Duclos (CAN) WR 357 (CH 259 in 2009)
H2H 0-1, Duclos won 1-6 6-3 7-6(4) in Alessandria qualifying a couple of months ago.
