Yeah I heard it this morning, very interesting to hear that he watched the Man U squad in training and got a letter from Sir Alex. Heres hoping it benefits him

yeah, this was late last year that he went, obviously he was pretty down then with the back injury (and the realisation his ranking would plummet as a result). he did show me the letter and it said some nice things and i'm sure it's helped him. he's worked really hard on a lot of things this year so i hope it starts to pay off for him. he mentions those inner demons, if he can find a way to beat them then hopefully he can have a really good few years to end his career.

This is fascinating stuff - full marks to the BBC for bothering to do an interview about the realities of the Challenger tour. Though of course, they imply Challengers are the lowest rung of the ladder, which is so far from the truth! Maybe they'll do an interview with Fitzy about insect-ridden mattresses in Pakistan (or wherever it was) one day!
Tennis players definitely deserve more respect for doing it on their own - at least playing team sports, players must get looked after a bit better.

Would love to see Boggo back in the top 200 although I can't really see it. We will most likely look back on his career and think about what might have been.

Hmm, then I'd say full marks is really over generous. Just because this may be an unexpectedly decent piece of work from this pupil is no reason to over mark them. They could still do better.
Edit : Now had a chance to listen to it, and yes marks dropped for the "other end of the spectrum" / "minor tournament" stuff. Lazy journalism in an otherwise pretty decent interview.
I'd love Boggo to at least to get back into the top 200, but to be honest I share RJA's doubts.
