The LTA have now announced a squad of 5 which includes Jamie Baker as well - makes sense, they have to name 4 for the DC site but 1 or 2 can still be changed before the draw.
I was saying to Stu Fraser last night on Twitter that I thought the team should include Baker as singles cover if Andy was going to play doubles, Fleming & Hutch otherwise, so I'm more than happy with that squad!

Thank goodness they have gone for Fleming and Hutchins, and not Jamie Murray, which would almost certainly have meant Andy playing doubles with him. 2 matches are quite enough!

I don't think even the LTA could have been stupid enough to name Jamie Murray in the team when Fleming and Hutch are in their second GS quater final in a row. (No offence to Jamie of course, but he clearly isn't our best doubles players at this moment in time)

Adam Kellner has withdrawn from the Hungarian team, to be replaced by Sebo Kiss who hasn't played a professional match for a year and has a CH of 531 from 2005.
Interesting to read that Oli Golding is there helping out in practice.
Oh dear, here I go, about to flame one of the capos of the board...but it can't be helped...
Er, SO WHAT that Oli Golding is there helping out in practice! Why wouldn't the LTA ask the US Open junior champion to come along for the ride?
Next, I expect that someone will trot out that tired old cliche about how good it is for him to realise how hard Andy Murray trains, with the implication that some sort of mysterious osmosis process is magically going to make him a better player.
Sorry dude ...

I remember Andy being at the DC just after he won the boys title. At least, I remember wondering if the gangly youth in attendance was the lad who had just won USO - and the commentators never did tell me, but I found out later that it was.
