Week 28- Challenger -($50,000) Granby, Canada (Hard)

Not great....

Richard Bloomfield WR 332 vs. Mathias Bachinger (2) WR 92

Daniel Cox WR 271 vs. Eduard Roger-Vasselin (6) WR 136

Josh Milton WR 310 vs. Simon Stadler WR 274

I'm predicting 0 for 3 i'm afraid, real pity too as the cut for this tourny was really low and drawing one of the qualifers was basically a bye.

I wonder why they moved this event forward to the same week as Aptos rather than its usual slot in two weeks time when there are no North American challengers.

The qualifying draw is made up of 15 people, 12 of whom are unranked.

H2Hs (not great reading!):

Bloomers 0-2 (2006 & 2008, both in straight tiebreak sets)
Dan 0-1 (2009 Queen's Q, 6-1 7-6(2) to ERV)
Josh 0-1 (2010 Nottingham Ch QF, 4 & 3 to SS)

Cox third match on centre court, not before 12:00 local time, but probably at least an hour after this as play doesn't start until 10:00. 5 hour time difference I believe so probably about 18:00 BST when he gets on. Milton and Bloomers not playing today.

It doesn't get any better in the doubles for Bloomers, but Cox & Milton may be in with a bit of a chance (never heard of their opponents!):

R1:  Richard Bloomfield & Simon Stadler (GER) vs (4) Jesse Levine & Vasek Pospisil (USA/CAN) bleh

R1:  Dan Cox & Josh Milton vs Andrew Dzulynsky & John Valenti (USA/USA)

Dan loses 2-6, 2-6 in just under an hour.

ERV won 86% of points on his second serve where as Dan won just 22% on his second serve (0% in the second set).
