Jamie Baker should have played Sitak by now, but unless he tweets, I doubt we're going to get any news until the early hours (and tonight I don't intend to be up quite that late!) - the US Challenger sites (with some honourable exceptions, e.g. Dallas) make the LTA look generous as far as revealing scores goes.
As for the Aptos twitter account, they last tweeted on Monday ...

fantastic result for Alex could any other British singles player beat young apart from Andy? The doubters should shut up and let him get on recovering his ranking as he has little points to defend

Yeah, Vandenburg used to encourage Boggo to retire after every defeat! I do miss him, however it looks like his critical boots have filled a few times over.

Well if you are talking about expressing doubts re such as not giving Boggo very much chance against Young ( and I am delighted he won ) or having real doubts as to whether he will get back into the top 200 ( and I really hope he does ), then I am sorry, but this is a discussion forum, and we all have various opinions.
Yes, we had some issues with some interloper(s) last week putting down Boggo in an OTT manner, but that is a separate issue. Re just genuine thoughts from regular posters, I don't see a problem, and you can count me in as continuing to express my views, be they doubts or not, on Boggo and any other player.

I would certainly consider myself a "doubter" when it comes to Boggo and have give him some stick in the past. I think this is perfectly reasonable and very different to people who register an account just to be destructively critical of him.
Certainly looks that way, Indy. He should've been expecting to win, given that he's currently ranked 339 compared with Sitak at 377, but things seem to have a habit of not working out as they should whenever Brits are involved, so all in all, welcome news.
Jamie has just confirmed that result "Got through my first round today 63 76. Involved a good comeback in second set."
L32: Jamie Baker WR 339 beat Artem Sitak (NZL) WR 377 (CH 299 in 2008) by 6-3 7-6(3) L32: Alex Bogdanovic WR 382 beat (2) Donald Young (USA) WR 105 (CH 73 in 2008) by 7-6(7) 6-2
L16: Jamie Baker WR 339 v (7) Ilija Bozoljac (SRB) WR 239 (CH 101 in 2007) L16: Alex Bogdanovic WR 382 v (Q) David Martin WR 901 (CH 459 in 2006)
Winners to play each other.
The interesting thing about Jamie's match is that he has played Bozo twice, both in R2 of Challengers in the US, and has beaten him in straight sets both times - 2 & 3 at Joplin and 5 & 4 at Knoxville! Both of those matches were in 2007, the year both of their CHs are from, 211 near the end of the year in Jamie's case, 101 near the start of the year in Bozo's case. They have both dropped over 120 places since.
Boggo's opponent is a doubles specialist (ranked 110, CH 38 in 2008) having a rare good week in singles - a bit like Colin Fleming earlier this year, whom Martin partnered in two tournaments in April.

Btw that result completed a 24 hour period (starting with Boggo's win and ending with Baker's) in which six of the top twelve GB men played ... and they all won!
