Get in, Tara takes the match 6-3 7-5.
Much needed wins for her this week, sets up all GB QF with Laura.

JoKo beats Emmers 5-7 6-4 6-3 and plays Mel in quarters. Much needed victories again for Jo, but sad for Webbers who probably needs to reach the QF at Wrexham to definitely make the cut for US open qualies.

A bit off of Jo to suddenly come into some form when she's playing in the UK for a change LOL

That looks like a very good win for Tara

Full QF lineup now set, with all the main protagonists still left in the draw. All GB final still possible, but unlikely.

A very athletic, well built lady from Wimbledon who shoots from the hip on both wings, destroys all opposition and collects trophies from exotic locations?

But occasionally has days where she keeps falling off ledges. ;)

So,  tomorrow they are using Court B and Court 2. The Court covered, up until now, by Bet 365 is not being used.
Our girls are playing on Court 2. I shall weep if this is not the court they cover tomorrow biggrin

A few other observations to note.

1. I expect JoKo to beat Mel as her playing history suggests once she gets going in a tournament she becomes difficult to stop, her problem has been getting to the QF stages in the first place.
2. Emmers scratched from her doubles, I hope that doesn't mean she is heading out Azebaijan for WTA qualies rather than play at Wrexham where cheap ranking points are up for grabs, and of course I'll be there.
3. I see that Sven Groeneveld is opening up a new tennis academy in Amsterdam, I just wonder whether Laura will use these facilities in the future as she has had a very good working relationship with the Dutchman during different stages over the last 12 months.

Oh and Westwood to win the Open for his maiden major win.

There is a court plan at http://www.foxhills.co.uk/downloads/LTA-leaflet.pdf, which shows Court 2 as the main court, though it clearly wasn't scheduled as such earlier in the week and Court B is the one that is most separated from the rest.

Looking at that diagram, my guess is that they are converting Court 2 into the main court for the last few days by putting seating on Courts 1 & 3.

Lots of pics here btw - http://foxhills.co.uk/gallery/?xmlpath=lta-gallery.xml - about half of Laura, but there are a few other players too.

Court A is the best court for viewing I would have thought, at least it is the most accessible since everyone who goes to use the club courts has to walk past it. I guess Court 2 wasn't used for the main matches earlier since there would often be balls coming across from 1 and 3. The wire fencing around the numbered courts is a little hazardous though, the holes in it seem to be just about large enough for a powerfully hit tennis ball to fit through so anyone sitting too closely is at risk of being hit!

If Laura's in the final I might go over but probably won't make the effort for just one match if she isn't.
