(*) Two fine old Aussie names there! disbelief Anyone happen to know why Oz &, to a lesser extent, Kiwi-Land appear to be experiencing a sudden influx of Eastern Europeans (particularly female) at the moment? It can't just be the weather (certainly not in NZ anyway!). Are the facilities, the way in which the players are treated & the funding really so much better there than they could expect at home? confuse

In the past I've had trouble with signal on my phone on some of the courts so I guess that may be an issue. Not too sure how the bet365 guys do it but they usually have a phone in their hands and a set of earphones as well so they must need some sort of internet connection.

Although they could just have looked at the names of the courts and assumed Court 1 was the main court rather than Court B

Watched Lucy at Notts and I was quite impressed with her ball striking abiliities, she was not outclassed that day irrespective of the scoreline. It was clear why she had had a good year. I remember thinking at the time that a top 500 ranking was well within her capabilities.
When I previewed today's match I thought there was potential for an upset, the odds of 7/4 looked quite generous at the start of play. Her opponent having achieved her ranking picking up points in weak events.
