Yes, Yes, Yes !! Go and enjoy Harry Potter tonight Laura, you've well and truly earned it.

With two hard fought, come from behind victories Laura is becoming the new Heather (not that there is anything wrong with the current Heather). Just great to see Laura add some steel to her undoubted talent.

Great fightback and should do wonders for her confidence.
Injury timeout hopefully not something to worry about.

p.s JC maybe you should have made the trip afterall, missed a corker.

Well done, Laura.  Anyone care to hazard a guess at the exact percentage of Britishness in tomorrow's final? wink

By the way, Phil, why were you ever surmising about a possible injury time-out for Laura ?

Just because of the break in play and Laura's history or did you have a special source ?

Just speculation, but there was a 12 minute delay, may have needed to have gone offcourt.
May have been a medical issue instead, anyway before the break she hardly won a point during a 3 game stretch, but whatever happened during that break the treatment clearly worked and she got stronger as the match wore on, so my best summise is that if there is a problem it is only minor.

There's a very uninjured looking owl on Twitter right now which is very reassuring

(I'm presuming it was taken post match)

That's the problem with livescores and not being there in person, not be a problem next week.

Thanks to a poster from the GBTG website who was there, my initial deductions seem to be true. Laura did indeed need to be taken off court for treatment ( no mention of the actual problem ). Her opponent also needed treatment as well at one stage, and in JoKo's match her opponent retired because she was feeling unwell. Also apparently Lina served a DF when she had MP during the second set TB.

So Laura v JoKo the sequel. They played twice in 2008 with Jo winning the first (a Grade 1 final) and Laura gaining revenge at Roehampton (in a match with quite a bit of controversy according to eyewitnesses - went to a third set tiebreak)
