looking foward to the return of liam broady this week, currently 12th highest ranked on entry list, could go deep considering top seed is milton, and he (and ollie) both beat him fairly easily recently

Mens wild cards for Chiswick

Dan Evans
Alex Ward
Dan Smethurst
George Coupland

Presumably Evo is not going out to Brazil now they have cancelled two of the challengers. It would be a long way to go just for one event.

Hmm, so 3 main draw WCs used up on players who didn't enter and would easily have got in on ranking, though as you suggest, I'd say Evo's position is perfectly understandable.

Edit :  Ah, I read from steven elsewhere that Alex did enter and withdrew last week.  Well, now that he is out of his Belgium future, he would have had plenty time for Chiswick qualifying !

No sign of Morgan Phillips in the Recanati qualifying draw but the top 4 Q seeds are ranked 105, 293, 505 & 533. The big gaps between 1 & 2 and 2 & 3 suggest to me that the first two are late entrants, in which case Morgan (ranked higher than 505) may well have got into the main draw.

Sadly I was right to be cautious, Morgan isn't in the main draw.

The laughable qualifying draw for the Astana 125K super-Challenger http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2011/3618/qs.pdf makes you wish some adventurous Brits had gone over and had a go!

Having said that, while the main draw cut ended up at 663, there are four top 100 players here, so if you draw one of them in the first round, it's likely to be a wasted trip.
