Yes, actually all three of the all GB matches have their own little intrigues. Be interesting to see how it pans out.
Rice appears to be in good nick so you have to fancy him to beat Fitzy.
Goodall v Willis on grass would once have been a no brainer but it wouldn't surprise me to see Marcus win this (Being pushed to 5 and 4 by Farquarson is not a good result for Josh)
Eaton v Thornley is again a match which you really should fancy the former but actually think the latter might well win.
QF: (4) Josh Goodall WR 462 defeated Marcus Willis WR 637 by 6-7(3) 6-4 6-1 QF: (8) Sean Thornley WR 611 defeated (3) Chris Eaton WR 434 by 6-4 6-7(3) 6-4 -Sean's rapidly becoming Chris's nemesis!
Ha. no doubt from the BBC, where I see these results are up. As far as the LTA ( twitter - "British Tennis will keep you updated with how British players are getting on around the world of tennis" ) seems concerned, sod all is happening anywhere invoving Brits in the world of tennis between Wimbledon and the Davis Cup.
Good call by RJA in that these 2 matches certainly look as if they could of gone either way.

Got it in one, Indy. However, the Beeb's presentation of the results exasperates me, so I generally feel the need to dress them up a bit if I have the time. That said, the old lady may have many faults, but you have to give her credit for stepping into the breach & offering a service of sorts to us long-suffering fans. The LTA no-results-unless-it-suits-the-suits "service" is a complete & utter joke. It's quite clear that no one there with any say in the matter understands/has any sympathy for the frustration we feel when results of matches aren't posted for bloody hours after play has ended for the day!
QF: (1) Chris Eaton & Josh Goodall WR 386 defeated (WC) Kyle Edmund & Toby Martin UNR by 4 & 3 QF: (4) George Morgan & Mate Pavic (CRO) WR 1786 defeated Ed Corrie & James Marsalek WR 2107 by 7-6(1) 6-3 QF: Marvin Barker (NZL) & Kyle Brassington UNR defeated Maniel Bains & Marcus Willis by 4 & 3 QF: Jiri Kosler & David Pel (CZE/NED) WR 2177 lost to (2) David Rice & Sean Thornley WR 540
SF: (1) Chris Eaton & Josh Goodall WR 386 vs (4) George Morgan & Mate Pavic (CRO) WR 1786 SF: Marvin Barker (NZL) & Kyle Brassington UNR vs (2) David Rice & Sean Thornley WR 540
Just to add to the insanity, all the singles QF results appeared frist on the Beeb site & I posted the doubles QFs on the basis of the ITF site. The LTA site is showing the doubles results, but not the singles! Tossers!
lost a tough one today, was 5-2 up first set and had him 15-40, he served 5 bombs and then a lost a tight game serving for it at 5-3. Lost an epic game at 5-5, i returned the whole match really really well and the standard of the match was good but it was another match again that i felt i should have one but didnt.
still progress and again im happy as long as i see myself moving in the right direction, its a process and i understand its a process and u cant have instant success. U cant play well if u feel that way anyway. So onto next week where i have snuck into main draw as the last player, so hope to get myself into the tournament through the early rounds and go from there.
Yes, all the indications are that you are moving in tne right direction with your results and it is steadily being reflected in your ranking, the extra point here over last year will now it looks push you up to about WR 850.
Does look a tough loss, especially in the first set. But I was pleased to see you that you thought you should have won. I guess it's about finding a way in different situations, and get yourself more into those situations, and hopefully the more often you begin to come through them. All the best for nest week.

So another semi final for Sean, and a chance for Dr No to get his revenge after last week's first round defeat. I sense no quarter will be asked or given. Let it be a good clean fight, lads
