Onviously isn't the case so it makes you wonder if they had a late request for a WC and took poor Tom's off him. Would be pretty out of order if that was the case.

 Maybe they offered to change his wildcard to one at Frinton instead? Wouldn't suprise me if it was Evo who was the one turning up here, no idea why he isn't playing this week

 Well if he did give up his WC I hope he got something in return.

Anyway on a positive note we have at least 7 all British ties in the final qualifying  round plus Gabb against an unranked Kiwi. Well done to Alex Farquarson for beating 4th seed Jan Blecha.

George got Tom's wildcard after it became clear that he couldn't make qualies because of his Wimbledon run. Thankfully Tom (and Alexander) qualified along with Chaudry, Marsalek, Gabb, Jones, Coupland and Brassington so a British clean sweep. 21 Brits in the main draw (on LTA site) along with top juniors Vesely, Pavic and Berman

 The top 10 year-end juniors get 3 JEs. The higher ranking you are the more choice you have over which tournaments to pick, and the higher the possible value (top 2 can go up to $15K +H) but Pavic (ranked 10) had to settle for 3 10Ks
