Sometimes your methodology, in expressing an opinion, can be formed as a comparison. For example between Kuhn and Popper, on the scientific method, or Kant and Hegel, on metaphysics and ontology, Marx and Feuerbach on historical materialism , Nietzsche and Heidegger, on existentialism, or, Boggo and Audley Harrison, on charlatan sportsmen.

Maybe we should petition the AELTC to give you a wildcard next year and see if you can do any better.

Count, do you have any idea which football team Boggo cheers for?

The WTT stint is good news, by the way. Should get him warmed up for the hard court season.

 Yes it's Man U doh

I don't think he's got any more WTT matches lined up, hopefully he'll make the MD at aptos, just give's him a few extra days to adjust.

Uggh. disbelief

I want him to go through qualies, personally, because it's a big money Challenger and he gets 5 points. He shouldn't be especially tired, either.

it's not just the tiredness, in the past he's suffered from quite bad shin pain when he's changed surfaces so it's better if he gets a few more days to allow his body to adjust.

He should get in...he is 2nd alt with 2 SE's to clear and no obvious candidates for them (maybe Kudla?)

I think Boggo supports East Stirling, as they have a very similar record to Boggo in terms of w/l.

Count Zero in January of this year: "PS i know i said 125 for Boggo but i still believe he can crack the top 100 this year, i just didn't want to jinx it."

Boggo's ranking as of 20 June 2011: 389

What does that tell you? By all means support Boggo, but why delude yourself that he'll ever be anything other than a fifth rater at best?

I know tennis. I know a player when I see one. Boggo isn't one of them.

Tone it down a bit Wolfie. If you don't rate a player, and want to explain why then fair enough. Slagging the player off though or, belittling another poster is just "keyboard warrior" stuff, all a bit sad.

I think this thread has gone on too long. the attacks on Alex are very belittling and totally out of order. they are not even funny now! Maybe Alex should play Wolfie and jason in a challenge match and beat the **** out of them on court to see who is the fifthrater! If these personal attacks on Alex continue on here then I think the contributers should be banned. Commenting on losing matches is fair enough but slagging someone off for the sake of it is beyond a joke.

I've been reading these posts the last few days and haven't responded to any of them. But I thought now I would. I agree totally with what Scottie 1 says. Time to stop this thread. The jokes or bitching or whatever you want to call them has gone on long enough. It'll soon be like Eurosport where all you read are these sorts of comments (well worse actually). I didn't think that this was what this site is about. It's certainly not what I come here for.  Constructive critisisim yes. But nearly ripping someone to pieces like a personal attack is wrong on so many levels. I don't know who this Jason chap is but really people should just not respond to his level and I hope the moderators have privately asked him politely to calm it down a little. it's like something from The News of the World.  And it's wearing thin quite frankly now. I hope I speak for many saying this. I apologise now if anyone disagrees with my view but I think it needs saying. I come here to read about the tennis and if Boggo read this stuff himself then I feel sorry for him.  personal insults should hold no place here what so ever.

Does the Count know about this?

"British tennis fans tune into Sportsweek 830am on 5Live tomorrow with @legardj for an interview with forgotten man Alex Bogdanovic"
