Internet connection crashed at 5-2 in the TB, but at that stage 4 UE's from Jo really showed the problem that she clearly has at the moment i.e getting tight at the end of matches. She definitely was the better ball striker but also committed the softer errors, her body language at the end of the match was of a player looking as if she half expected to lose. Maybe when she starts to represent the GB flag all those tensions will evaporate.
Great win for Sam and looks to be heading into the top 400 by the end of the year.
She has now gone a double break down and has lost 9 of the last 10 games - as at Wimbledon, signs of what she can do but far too many errors. expecially on serve. From the commentator's comments (and the scoreline), she was playing much better earlier in the match.
30-30 on Chakh's serve.

Naomi's serve certainly seems to be some weeks a real weapon and some weeks a real liability. It would be great if she could get some ( good ) consistency with it because then I am quite sure that she would get consistently better results.
This match is (surprisingly?) good quality - Daniilidou broke in the first game, Samantha broke back in the second, Daniilidou broke again in the fifth, Sam immediately broke back again and has now saved (at least) 3 bps in the seventh game (though 2 of them were brought up by DFs) ... and has just held for 4-3*
